We had an amazing experience at Christy Hill Restaurant. Hostess hand picked our table for ultimate lake view (although dark, lights on lake are still visible). The dining room is warm & inviting with twinkly lights and a bustling staff. Alex Looby, owner & GM, is engaging & personable. We opted for the tasting menu with wine pairing. Each course was served with detailed explanation. The courses were not rushed and we had time to enjoy each wine pairing. The chef came out & we enjoyed hearing his recipes, which I couldn't duplicate. I would highly recommend this special restaurant.

Christy Hill is fantastic. This is a 'special' place for us to celebrate birthdays, holidays, and anniversaries. The food and service is impeccable. The menu is always unique and has something original for that time of year. All of the seats 'face' the lake due to the way the layout and mirrors are placed. Sunset is very special here. I'd recommend you book ahead and enjoy. In temperate months, they also have an outdoor seating and bar area.

Had the most amazing time at Christy Hill! Cozy with an excellent overlooking view. Came in wanting to try their tasting but the menu was so good we had to do ala carte to try the items that caught our eyes and everything was excellent! The food did not disappoint. Definitely order the octopus, scallop and salmon dishes! The cheese board was also thoughtfully curated with local accompaniments. Enjoyed my experience and can't wait to go back! Service was warm and friendly - definitely a local gem!

It's been two years since I was last at Christy Hill, as some folks in my family thinks it's too far a drive from Glenbrook. But our dinner last night reminded the naysayers of why it's absolutely worth the drive. To begin with, there is no better ambiance anywhere in Lake Tahoe. As we were celebrating a double birthday, they honored my request for a window table and the view of the lake at dusk is stunning as was the moonlight reflecting on the lake as our dinner progressed. We started by sharing the deviled eggs and, while that may seem bland or ordinary, they definitely are not at CH, with caviare on one and a delicious red chili topping on the other. Absolutely delicious and went quite nicely with the outstanding white burgundy we selected off the excellent wine list. Next we shared a refreshing salad, the Crudo, the heirloom tomato toast, and the English pea agnolotti. All were excellent, with the Crudo and heirloom tomato toast probably winning by a nose. For mains, we shared the scallops, duck, halibut and Moroccan lamb. All outstanding. The halibut has been on the menu forever and it's hard to find it prepared better, certainly not up at Lake Tahoe. I am not a fan of scallops but the rest of the group raved about them. The duck was perfectly prepared and very tasty but the lamb is a special dish that you do not often see. The Moroccan spices in the sauce were just amazing. We brought an excellent 2005 Grand Cru Red Burgundy and it was the perfect complement for the duck and lamb. Since it was a double birthday, they brought us two desserts (the Passion Fruit cake and bread pudding) both of which were insanely delicious but I can't report on the other selections. Great selection of Port and Madeira for an after dinner drink. I had the excellent Madeira, which was recommended by the Sommelier, who is super knowledgeable and very approachable. He has a terrific wine list and you can just tell him what you like and let him do his stuff. Finally, the service was excellent despite the restaurant being completely full and the front of the house does a great job of balancing tables so the wait staff does not get overwhelmed. In short this is one of my favorite restaurants in California and could easily hold its own in LA or SF, but then you would not have the amazing setting. Most importantly, the anti-driving naysayers were completely won over so it will definitely be on the list whenever we are at the Lake.

Charming -friendly, quaint, engaging and delightful Charmingly lit terrace with a beautiful portrait view of Lake Tahoe framed with trees and a shadow of mountains as a backdrop. Evening breezes with a complement of well portioned shared & small plates a choice a well chosen select entrees. From beginning to end an entire team that blended to make a seamless delightful dish-to-dish dining experience. Subtle guitar music blended to make a complete enjoyment of outdoor dining with a hum of relaxed unobtrusive melodies.

A TASTE OF CHRISTY HILL It gets busy in the summer, so reservations are highly recommended. When we were afraid our day was going to be to jammed, we discovered it was too late to cancel ours on Open Table without incurring a fee (I think it was $50.). We forced ourselves to go, but as soon as we arrived, we were both in the mood to celebrate my early birthday dinner. Since my sister is a regular, J.D. recognized her immediately. As soon as we officially checked in, we were led to a beautiful outdoor table with a stunning view. Luckily, my sister specified no "high tops" since we're both short. On the level below us, we could hear the live guitarist and singer play some enjoyable music. After so many gatherings this week, we both had had enough alcohol, so I opted for the Merry & Bright mocktail, a delightful concoction of lemonade, black currant, orange, pinks and a sprig of rosemary. We have so many favorite dishes here, so we were thrilled to see the tasting menu offered everything we desired. It's a good thing we both wanted this because it's only available for the entire table. Once we ordered, the chef sent us a refreshing amuse bouche of fig, mascarpone, hazelnut and mint. The Ahi Tuna Crudo, which soon followed, was spectacularly fresh and melted on my tongue. Red Yuzo Kusho, Ginger Ponzu, cucumber and Fresno pepper jazzed it up. The Burrata and Summer Peaches salad with arugula, pea tendrils, radish, cashews and Saba vinegar was surprisingly disappointing. The peaches were too hard and the dressing didn't have enough flavor. The Day Boat Scallop with marble potatoes, Romesco sauce, fennel, Gaeta olives and orange was fantastic. Of course, I wish there had been more than one since this is my favorite dish! I've never had The Moroccan Spiced Lamb, so it was fun to try this. The charred cauliflower, golden potatoe puree, olive stuffed Piquillo peppers and Charmoula loaded it with flavor, and the lamb was perfectly cooked. A delicate Chocolate Tartelette with coffee cremeux, mascarpone and raspberries topped off our meal. Even though they charge an extra fee to use a credit card, my sister paid with VISA. (Who wants to carry around hundreds of dollars in cash? ) Last I checked, the fee was 2%, but another review claims it's 6%. Service was stellar throughout the meal. Despite the blips, this turned out to be the best dinner this trip! Now, I'm glad Open Table wouldn't let us cancel. Enjoy the view and the meal on Christy Hill.

I've been wanting to eat here for a while and finally was able to make it happen. Brought my gourmet chef of grandma because I knew she'd appreciate such exquisite food and she loved it. She had the halibut (and shared a bite with me, I haven't eaten fish in 8 years). Lucious, beautifully prepared and I'll be ordering this next time I go. Chef made a vegetarian dish for me that wasn't on the menu and it was beautiful and delicious. Three separate veggie combos each with their on flavors and well put together. The wait staff was very kind and helpful in walking us through wine/ food suggestions. Dessert was amazing. The bread pudding was absolutely incredible and my mouth waters just thinking about it! Definitely treat yourself! I didn't mention the view yet... two words... LAKE TAHOE. Whether you sit on the patio or inside you'll get a breathtaking view of Take Tahoe. There was also live music the night we went which added to the already lovely ambiance. Highly recommend Christy Hil‼ The owners are genuine are truly remarkable people. Looking forward to going back with my husband for our anniversary.

Unable to make a reservation for 6 online, we decided to take our chances and showed up around 6:30 pm on a Wednesday. Luckily, they were able to seat us. The restaurant had a few patrons, but it wasn't crowded. Given the beautiful weather, we chose to sit outside and enjoy the lovely view of the lake. The service was excellent. The staff was very attentive, always refilling our waters, and the food came out quickly and was perfectly timed. The menu offered a wide variety of options, making it hard to decide. I opted for the Ahi Tuna Crudo, Artisanal Cheeses, Deviled Eggs Duet, and the Moroccan Spiced Lamb Loin. The Lamb Loin had a slight kick but wasn't overly spicy and was absolutely delicious. For dessert, we indulged in almost everything: the Passionfruit Bavarois, Chocolate Croissant Bread Pudding, Chocolate Tartelette, and Lemon Panna Cotta. All were fantastic, but my favorites were the Passionfruit Bavarois and especially the Lemon Panna Cotta, which was incredibly refreshing. My guests and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. It's a bit fancy without being stuffy--just perfect!

Really great place on Lake Tahoe! It's cozy and vibey. We were laughing and enjoying ourselves the whole time which didn't seem like the overall vibe as it was more like a date spot The food was delicious. We got pretty much everything in the menu. The scallops and the carrot appetizer were stand outs The service was pleasant and attentive and very friendly. Great place!
